Located on the Red sea coast and 135 km from Al Qusier Marsa Alam is transforming from a fishing village into a modern sea resort with a number of new hotels being established which provide. The new international airport of Marsa Alam is serving the area to be an international tourist destination. Marsa Alam is known for its gold mines and it has some historic sites such as the temple of Seti I in Wadi Miya and the inscriptions rocks that dates to the pre-dynastic periods. The area is undergoing huge development to be transformed into a modern resort with animated town with a Cornish around the marina and harbor. The area is designed to be an international sea gateway for yachts.


Marsa Alam is endowed with fabulous coral reefs along the coastline which provide many dive sites such as Elphinstone, Dolphin Reef, Shaab Marsa Alam, Shaab Samadia, Daedlus to name only a few.
The former fishing village of Mersa Alam is rapidly increasing in popularity, especially among divers and fishing enthusiasts. Its coral reefs are spectacular for snorkelling and its islands, part of the Gebel Elba Protectorate, are one of the highlights of the area.
During Alexander the great expedition he stopped to pay tribute to God Amun and thus his rule becomes a historic continuation of the Pharaohs.
